On Friday, June 12th, the LDSS community participated in a Talent Assembly, followed by the Summer Carnival. Between the creative endeavours of school members and the fun summer events, both students and staff had a great time! Thanks to everyone who helped to organize these events!

Exciting news for Science Students!

Thanks to the hard work of a team of teachers, including Mr. McKay and Mr. Flynn at LDSS, LDSS Science students will be enjoying the use of some amazing technology thanks to a competition sponsored by Hewitt-Packard!

Chickens....all grown up!

Students taking Science in Semster 1 may remember the incubator and the chicks that hatched in Mrs. Renecker's room.

For those who were wondering what happened to those chicks, they've grown up and are enjoying a happy home with Mrs. Wilkans and her family!

According to Mrs. Wilkans, Cesear and Brutus (as the chickens are now called) get special treatment -- they even get to come into her house as her daughters love to give them snacks!

Thanks for making a happy home for the chickens Mrs. Wilkans!
